Of Love and Mercy

“O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind.

O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of me, I would forgive you.

O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.”

- Hadith Qudsi 34

"I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assemble better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm’s length, I draw near to him a fathom’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed."

Tick Tock

There is a time for everything.
Now, is the time to heal.

"And He will provide him from sources he never could imagine.
And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him.
Verily, Allah will accomplish his purpose.
Indeed Allah has set a measure for all things."

Spiritual Growth

It is easy to focus on what's in front of us rather than seeing beyond what the eyes behold. Often more than not we judge people by their appearance, we judge people by their first impressions, we judge people by how they communicate with others, by how the treat us, by how they express their feelings, on the fickleness of a momentary reaction. Yet we forget that the thing which defines a person is the best of what they can be when they truly reveal their true potentials and what really matters is the conviction of faith that lies within the heart.

They call it spirituality.

The believe that there is higher power that controls all beings and all things. A power that governs in such mysterious ways that we can not even get close to comprehending the reasons behind each.

It is impossible to rationalize the events that shows the endurance of a human spirit overcoming great obstacles to emerge stronger than before. Those people who faced all those disasters in Acheh and recently Haiti yet still remain strong and calm, the ones in Palestine, Afghanistan, South Thai who faces constant terror against the brutalness of war each day, every day of their lives without ever giving up hope that one day peace will befall them, the girl who was homeless but still fought to successfully get into Harvard, the lad who failed multiple subjects in PMR but got straight A's in SPM.

Oh you can say he worked his ass off, that's why he excelled. They are used to those conditions that's why they are brave. She's already borned a brainiac, it's not surprising that she got into Harvard.

But you have to honestly ask yourselves, if there is no higher power that gave the human race the gift of courage, perseverance and hope, would they have emerged victorious?

Spirituality. When we get down to it, it is our faith that gets us through the toughest of times. It is our believe that no breakdown occurs in vain that pushes us to find the reasons behind each failure.

Yet in this fast-paced-knowledge-based-empowered-user-intelligent- minds era, we have truly forgotten where our priorities lie. In an era where people constantly brag about financial stability, intellectual advancement and emotional evolvement, we have ignored the one thing that truly defines us as humans. We have on an enormous scale disregard our spiritual growth.

In the chaos of studying for exams, mending broken hearts and making extra cash - have you remembered to check your faith today?

"When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close;
I listen to the prayer of every supplicant when he calleth on Me.
Let them also, with a will, listen to My call,
and believe in Me; so that they may walk in the right way."
